Merry Chistmas!

I hope that all of you are having a Very Merry Christmas. It is still Christmas Eve at my house (at the time of this posting). I am watching "It's A Wonderful Life". This is one of our annual traditions. We watch it every Christmas Eve while wrapping gifts.

Tomorrow for Christmas we will be going over to my brother's house to celebrate with his family.

Nothing is better than spending Christmas with family and/or friends.

Thanks for all the comments on my last post. I'm sorry to hear that so many of you are in the same boat or are not having such a fantastic year. At least we know that we are not alone. That is the thing that finally got my Christmas spirit back. And it's about time.

Here's to a better year in 2011. It can't get much worse than this past year.

I want to thank all of you that take the time to follow or read my blog. I really appreciate that you take the time to do so. I know there are so many wonderful blogs out there.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

  1. Kim, I'm just stopping by to wish you a Merry Christmas. Sad that you haven't been in the holiday spirit. I think some years are harder than others. But, know that I'm thinking of you and sending Christmas hugs for the joy of friendship. ~ Sarah

  4. Dear Chris, we put up decorations week of Thanksgiving, got the cards out, went to parties, looking forward to two weeks off from work. Then I went to the mall to buy my mother a present and everything changed. I was involved in a terrible car accident. My car was totalled, and the other car flipped and landed on its roof. By the grace of God, the driver walked away with no injuries, my injuries came from the seat belt and air bag. So one week before Christmas we have been dealing with insurance, urgent care, and tears and more tears. But I was determined I would still have a Christmas so I baked cookies, crying but I made them and Cranberry Bread and I still had a Christmas. Not perfect but ever so grateful that I wasn't injured as it could have been so much worse. Kind of a wake-up call for what is important and what is not.

So many are in difficult situations right now. You are such a sweet person and all your decorations are fantastic. I've learned that each year cannot be the same. Sometimes we have to look for new traditions or be flexible because of circumstances. But JOY comes from the heart no matter where you are. Look inside for your JOY and PEACE. But most of all make LOVE your center. Decorations are external, maybe this year we are to look inside for these things. Have a Happy New Year!
