Kiss Me I'm Irish

Well I'm a wee bit Irish. So I have to decorate for St Paddy's Day. Here is what I did with the shelf in my family room.

It's pretty much set up the same way I had it for Valentine's Day. I just switched out the Valentine's stuff for St Patrick's Day stuff.

I traded out the "Be Mine Cutie Pie" picture for this leprechaun one. I found this leprechaun print on the Internet a few years ago before I started blogging. So I don't have a link.

I made all these book page & sheet music medallions or lollies for Valentine's Day. I just pulled off the Valentine center & printed out St Patrick's Day ones. Easy makeover.

Did the same thing to the ones on the bottles. Except I am missing one. Oops! That's because the third bottle actually had Valentine paper for the medallion. I was too lazy to make another book page or sheet music one for St Pat's day.

All my St Pat's centers came from Anna and Blue Paperie.

They are actually a free printable for cupcake toppers.

I love when I can decorate reusing stuff I already have and not having to spend any money. And it's the perfect holiday for being green.

My son asked me today why I change things up so much. It's times like this that I wish I had a daughter. If I did, I wouldn't be asked such silly questions.

I just smiled at him & said "Because I can".

I hope that you have a Happy St Patrick's Day later this week. It looks like next weekend I will be decorating for Spring and/or Easter. And why? Because I can.

  2. LOL. I understand...I have 2 boys.

You were my first blog that I found where you decorate on the cheap using free stuff, thrift store finds, dollar store stuff, etc. That started a whole slew of blogs that I'm following who do the same type of thing.

Which of course has gotten me excited to decorate for each holiday. My husband doesn't get it. He said he didn't want me to do it because it would add clutter!! Clutter? I would be replacing regular stuff with holiday stuff.

Oh well...I do it anyways and he doesn't say anything. The home is my domain and he has no say in how I decorate it lol! I was raised by a woman who studied interior decorating and loved to decorate. Sorry...but it kinda rubbed off on me lol!!!
