I know, I know, you are done with Christmas. But I'm not. As you know from my previous post, my Christmas stuff is still up. I'm hoping to have it down this weekend. Unless I can come up with some other excuse. I'm a free caring girl. I don't stick to schedules or live up to others expectations. I only do things when I feel like it (translation: I'm basically lazy and a procrastinator). Am I good at making excuses or what?
Since I never showed you all the cool stuff I got before Christmas, I thought I'd share it with you today for Thrifty Thursday. Be sure to visit Leigh over at Tales from Bloggeritaville to see all of this weeks participants.
Back in December we went to see the Christmas lights at the Mission Inn in downtown Riverside. That was my first time there. Lucky for me, right across the street is a fabulous antique mall called Mission Galleria. I didn't have much time to look around the night we were there. But I did spy the following vintage Bride & Groom cake topper under a cloche. It was love at first sight.
This particular seller had lots of stuff in her booth that I ended up getting. At 40% off, I found lots of treasures to bring home that day.
That is everything that I got at a thrifty price from the antique mall. I seem to find lots of thrifty finds at antique stores.
These next items came from my local community thrift store. A couple of Saturdays before Christmas they had all their Christmas items at 50% off. This thrift store rarely marks their stuff down, so I was thrilled with 50% off sale.
I was thrilled with all my thrifty finds in December. I also picked up a set of Moss Rose china in December, but forgot to take a photo. Maybe I'll share those next week.
I hope that you liked my thrifty finds. My favorite thing is the vintage bride & groom in the cloche that hubby got me for Christmas. What is your favorite thing?
My tree is still up! I haven't had the time, energy or inclination to remove it. (it's an artificial white tree) One year I threw a lot of pink and hearts on there and celebrated through Valentines. I know, I am a sad, busy little creature.

Wow! You really scored a lot of pretty finds! My favorite things would have to be the vintage trees and the baby spoons. I can just see that tree for more than Christmas...I think it would make a great Easter tree, don't you. Thanks for sharing all of your thrifty finds. We can never have enough good deals!
ReplyDeleteKim,

Thanks, friend, for linking up to Thrifty Thursday on Tales from Bloggeritaville! Great thrifty treasure!

Ohhh my...just taking a little break from the great Christmas decor break down! Hehe! I'm about to get it finished though! Eeeks...I always hate it though...now everything looks so naked!!! I'm trying to think of some new stuff to use out in the house...that's always fun! Hehe! Well Girlfriend, I hope that my note finds you well...have a great day!!!
Love ya,
Chari
Great finds! I especially love the baby spoon. I would lose my mind if I ever found a 40% off sale at any antique shop - NEVER happens around here, darn it! I was lucky enough, however, to score a brand new Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic stocking (soft pink chenille & old roses cotton patchwork) at a fleamarket a couple of weeks before Christmas. Her seasonal items were already reduced, but then there was another 50% off that made my find only $2.50! It looked great in my kitchen with all my antique rose-covered china. Can't wait to see your Moss Rose set!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Kim!
ReplyDeleteamazing thrifty finds :D
ReplyDeleteKim, no wonder you still have your Christmas decor up - you have such wonderful Christmas finds - I wouldn't want to put those up either. But I do love your explanation about being a free spirit (you are so cute). You sure got some fabulous bargains! laurie
