Happy New Year!!!
I thought in celebration of the New Year I would change up my Christmas mantel a little to make it more of a New Year's mantel.
P.S. I've had a few people ask where I got my clock images. I got most of them from Creating Myself blog, you can find the link here. One image I found at Cant Stop Making Things blog, you can find the link here.
You can find many clock images on Google images. I searched for clock face, clock faces and clocks.
I added the Happy New Year text to my clock faces in Picasa and Picnik. I then used distress ink to grunge them up some to make them look old.
Hope that helps.

Hi Kim, What a great looking mantle, You did a really great job on the clock faces. I wouldn't have occured to me to use picasa and picnik and distress ink. They look like real vintage clock faces, very clever! And you're right about the bells. great idea. I would love it if you linked this up to my new link party-Masterpiece Monday. The first one starts this Monday and I'll probally put the link up on Sunday. Happy New Year! Mary :O)
ReplyDeleteYour mantle looks wonderful! I love the clock faces, that is such a great idea. The little wreath and the turquoise are just perfect! I wish I had thought of that or seen this before I redid it yesterday, but I finished mine and it isn't for some time now.

You made all the clock faces by printing them?!? On my goodness, I would have never guessed that! You're soooo good at vignettes and this one is no exception. It's brilliant! I've featured you on SNS #63's sidebar this weekend. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI was just googling some English Country and French country pics and your dining room showed up at this site that I clicked on. I thought I would give you the link to check it out. They did not give you any credit either. Shame on them.
