Wedding Anniversary Tablescape

On June 3, 2006 hubby & I got married in our backyard. So this June 3rd is our fourth wedding anniversary. We've actually been together for 15 years. Since our anniversary falls on Thursday, I thought I would set our table just for our anniversary for Tablescape Thursday.

But we won't be eating at it. Why? We are going to Applebee's and to the movies for our anniversary. Hubby won the Applebee's giftcard at an insurance class last week. And a friend gave us 2 tickets to the movies. We don't go to the movies unless we have free tickets. Not sure what we will see. Probably Iron Man 2. Isn't that romantic?

I set the table just for the two of us.

Everything used in this tablescape is a thrifty find of some sort. The silverware came from a catalog years ago. It is Oneida. I think the pattern is Michelangelo. I got a screaming deal on it. I need more forks as most of them have mysteriously disappeared over the years. But what I would have to pay for forks now, I got a complete set for eight plus serving pieces back then.

The napkins were a clearance item at Walmart last year.

The moss rose plates came from Goodwill a few months back. I got an entire set for eight for $9.99. That was dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, saucers. It was missing the tea cups. But that is OK as I don't drink coffee or tea, plus I already have a set of 4 tea cups that match that I've picked up at various thrift stores over the years.

The plates were Made in China

Here is a close up of the moss rose decal.

I love this pattern. I have collected this pattern for about 15 years. But finding this huge set of dishes at once was my best find.

I got this bride & groom cake topper and cloche at an antique store in Riverside at Christmas. It was marked 40% off. So I only paid $10.00. Actually hubby did, since he got it for me for Christmas.

The glass cake stand actually is part of a set of 3 tiered cake plates that came from Brylane Home last year. They don't carry it anymore. But I have seen the exact same thing at Ross just before Mother's Day for $9.99 for the set of three.

I just picked up the bride & groom glasses from the thrift store this past Saturday. They were $1.00 each.

I actually bought them for my niece who is getting married in August. She loves vintage. I actually have 2 that say "Happy Anniversary" that I used last year. But since I just got these, I wanted to use them on this years table before I give them away.

This candle is one of a few dozen we used on our tables for our wedding reception four years ago. I bought the rose candles & holders from Oriental Trading Co. I then printed out our name & wedding date on some vellum paper.

I just love this bride & groom. I love ones that look like little kids.

The cherub candlesticks are another thrift store find. I added the crystals.

The goblets are also a thrift store find.

Even the lace tablecloth was a bargain. I got it at Walmart last year on clearance for $5.00.

One final look at our anniversary table.

And here are a couple of photos from our wedding day.

It was still about 100 degrees at 7pm when we got married.

Our cake.
Happy Anniversary honey. I hope we have many more.
