Love Notes

Sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile. I was gone most of last week taking care of my Mom. She had a heart valve replaced a few weeks back.

Now I'm back home and finally got most of my Valentine decorating done. My son asked, "Why bother, Valentine's Day is in a week?" I almost didn't decorate. But how could I not? I love decorating! Plus, I need something to blog about.

I'll share a little snippet of my decor with you today. I call this "Love Notes"

I printed out a couple of vintage Valentine hearts in sepia tone.

And then I printed out a bunch of "love notes". Most in sepia tone. But a few were in a muted red.
Placed them in my thrift store wire photo holder.
Added a red glittered "XOXO" sign I picked up from Walmart.
And it was love at first sight!

I wonder if my hubby will notice. I kind of doubt it.

  1. What a cute and wonderful idea. I love the messages on the notes and I've seen those photo holders and never thought to buy one and use it like that. Thanks for the idea.

I took all my angels and put big red ribbons and bows on them and placed them on my mantle with pictures of my real life angels, my son and daughter. I'll have to see if I can get a good photo of them.

  3. I love these - really pretty idea! How do you print them out in Sepia?! I hope your mom is doing better. My mother-in-law just went through something similar with the heart valve. =( She's hanging in there...

  9. What a darling idea! Love it. And you remind me that I haven't done any Valentine's decorating, and I should! I used to -- now I can't find the decorations!

As for hubby, all I can say is, if he knows what's good for him, he'll notice!

  10. I loved what you created! Where did you get the vintage Valentine's? Was it from a website that you printed from to get them? God bless your mom, I hope she is doing well. Joan @Americana By Candlelight
