Today is a better day than yesterday. Hallelujah!!! I'm no longer mad at hubby. We kissed & made up.
Since I am feeling the love again, I thought I'd share all three of the "love" plaques I made for Valentine's Day last year. Since I didn't have my blog last year, I thought I would share them with you this year.
I got the heart shaped wood at The Dollar Tree last year. They came bare wood & had string for the hanger. I covered each with some scrap book paper. Added some embellishments and hung from new ribbon.
This is my least favorite one. But I still like it. The scrapbook paper & 3d stickers came from Michael's last year. I think the ribbon did too.
I even added some rhinestones and glitter.
This next one is my second favorite.
I love the paisley heart. The striped paper I'm not exactly sure where I got. It either came from Michael's or was some old paper I had laying around from my stamping days back in the 90's. The cardboard embellishments came from Michael's. I then added some flowers and rhinestones.
It's a bit modern for me, but I still love it.
And finally my favorite one.
In the past, most of my Valentine decorating has been more on the pink and vintage side. And I love anything frenchy.
I first added scrap book paper. Then I printed out some vintage frenchy images from one of my CD's. The LOVE blocks are just reduced black & white copy of some stickers I had on hand. I added the pink glitter. Then I used my heart punch on some vintage images I printed out. Added the french stamp & Ooh la la!!!
I wish I could find my heart punch this year. I have no clue where I put it. But that is my life in a nut shell. If I don't put something back in it's preassigned spot (not that I have a lot of preassigned spots for stuff), it is gone for ever.
I hope that you enjoyed my "LOVE" heart plaques. I seem to be addicted to things that say "love" this time of year.
Tomorrow I am hoping to post a Valentine tablescape. That is if I can get it together enough tonight to put it together, take photos & post about it. But American Idol is on tonight, so we'll see.
And then on Friday be sure to come back to check out all of my Valentine decor.
