Cindy over at My Romantic Home is hosting a 2009 A Year in Review party 12/31/09. Since this post shows my china hutch & fireplace mantel over the past year, it qualifies for the party. Yipee!!!
Be sure to stop by Cindy's blog. You are in for a treat if you have never visited her. I want to be her when I grow up. Heck, I just want to be her.
I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate it). I know I did. It was wonderful to get together with family. And I got to see my Grandson too.
I'm always sad once Christmas is over. I love all the build up to Christmas. And now the party is over and time to take down the decorations. Boo hoo! Mine will stay up at least until this weekend. The part I will miss the most are the lights. It always seems so dark once the lights are gone.
Since we are at the end of another year. It's always fun to take a look back. So I thought it would be kind of fun to take a look back at the metamorphosis of my fireplace mantel and my china hutch over the past year.
Valentine's Day:
I guess I didn't take a photo of the whole mantel in one shot.
The right side looked exactly like this left side.
Spring:
Easter:
Did you notice what changed between this photo & the spring mantel?
Late Spring/Early Summer:
I didn't change up my mantel. It stayed the same as before. I only changed up my hutch.
4th of July:
Summer:
Fall:
Halloween:
Thanksgiving:
Christmas:
Wow!!! I did a lot of decorating this past year. Does anything ever stay the same in your house?
Now scoot on over to Between Naps on the Porch to see this week's participants in Metamorphosis Monday.
Short answer: nope! Nothing stays the same around here either. :)
ReplyDeleteThat said, I LOVE how you decorate for the seasons Kim! Such great inspiration for my mantle and hutch. I'm taking down Christmas stuff today, and looking at the emptiness and feeling sad too...but your images give me some ideas :)
Great post!
What an excellent idea! I love all of them, but especially the 4th of July one. What a great way to wrap up the year!
ReplyDeleteKim, not much stays the same in my home, either! I have enjoyed seeing your seasonal hutch, it makes me smile. I am not going to choose a favorite, they are all pieces of art on their own...but I do like the aqua and white of the summer. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours!
Kim, no matter what season it is, your fireplace and your hutch look so pretty and so festive. Nothing stays the same at my house for very long either! Happy 2010! laurie
ReplyDeleteOh fun stuff Kim! Love looking at it!
ReplyDeletewow, that kind of decorating takes dedication! love it :D
ReplyDeleteThe talent keeps pouring out of these blog parties! Your hutch and mantel arrangements are like an artists paintings! I need to come back and browse at my leisure.
ReplyDeleteMany blessings for the new year,
