I'm having a giveaway!!!

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!!!

I'm finally having my giveaway. I know, I know, I said that I was going to have it last Friday. But I have lots of reasons why it didn't happen. First and most importantly, I'm a procrastinator so I didn't get it ready to post in advance. Second, the day before last Friday was Thanksgiving and food makes me forget about everything else. Third, I forgot that it was Black Friday and that I would want to go shopping. And if that wasn't enough excuses, one of my step sons was admitted to the hospital on Friday so I had to cut short my Black Friday shopping so we could drive to San Diego to see him. He's fine now and out of the hospital.

Then on Saturday I was going to do it, but I decided since my shopping had been cut short the day before, I really needed to shop. Plus I needed to start my Christmas decorating (which by the way, I barely got started.) I'm hoping that tonight I can get my cloches decorated for the Cloche party tomorrow that Marty at a A Stroll through Life is hosting. (I told you I like to procrastinate.)

On Sunday I was going to do my giveaway but I wanted to finish up my decorating. Instead I took an all day nap.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday I had to work all day. And I didn't get home from work until late. Plus I was too tired to even look at the computer.

And last night was my other step sons 19th birthday, so we had to celebrate that by going out to eat to the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Riverside. And since we were in downtown Riverside we had to stop by the Mission Inn to see all the fabulous Christmas lights. Then there was this antique store I had to check out.

As you can see, I'm chalk full of excuses. So before I can come up with anymore excuses, today is the day of my giveaway. Better late than never.

And why am I having a giveaway? I hit 100 followers a few weeks back. And we all know that once you reach that milestone you are suppose to have a giveaway. Well I'm not sure it's written in stone anywhere in blogville, but it seems that every does it. And you all know, that I like to do what everyone else is doing. Unless it's dangerous, against my morals, or I just don't feel like doing it. So since it is none of those, I decided to have a giveaway. Even though now I am up 149 followers. I did have 150, but someone decided not to follow me anymore. Boo hoo!!! I will forgive whoever it was.

So before I lose anymore of you, it's on to the giveaway portion of this post!!!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, all this can be yours. I spared no expense. I only shop at the most extravagant stores. (Don't forget I can hear you all snickering.)

I guess you caught me in a few fibs. Obviously I didn't "spare no expense", and unless you consider the Dollar Tree an extravagant store, I fibbed on that part as well. But I was telling the truth on the "all this can be yours" part.

First we have a cake or cookie pedestal plate.
I put this together all by my little lonesome. I was up all night sweating & cussing. OK, you caught me in another fib (just the sweating & cussing part). I'm really going to be on Santa's naughty list this Christmas. I now promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, so help me Santa.
This was sooooo easy to make. All I did was buy a Christmas plate & a matching mug from the Dollar Tree. I glued the 2 together using E6000 craft glue. And ta da!!!! A cake/cookie pedestal plate. Perfect for leaving Santa cookies on Christmas Eve.

And if you are going to bake cookies or a cake this holiday season to put on your new fabulous cake/cookie pedestal plate, you will also need an oven mitt, a hot pad and some towels (only if you are messy like me).

All these came the Dollar Tree as well.

Finally we have a Santa cup with some kind of candy. I forgot to see what kind it was. But who cares, the Santa cup is just too cute!!!

Doesn't it look cute sitting on the plate? You could possibly put some dip in The Santa cup and put chips on the plate. But since this all came from the Dollar Tree, I'm suggesting that you might want to first place a paper or doily on the plate & a plastic cup in the Santa cup for holding any food.
One final look at all the loot you can win!!!
Now for the legal portion: This giveaway will be open until this Sunday night (12/6) at 11:59pm (pacific standard time). I will announce the winner sometime on Monday 12/7.

And what do you have to do to enter? I'm so glad you asked that question. My giveaway is easy peasy. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post or any post that I may write between today & Sunday. You get an extra entry just for being a follower. If you are already a follower, just let me know in a separate comment. Or if you just signed up to be a follower, or will be signing up to be a follower (because of my fabulous giveaway), let me know that in a separate comment as well.

So what are you waiting for? Leave me a comment & enter!!!

Kim

  22. You're so funny! I never win anything, so please throw my name in just for kicks! I think I saw that plate at the Dollar Store and thought it was cute, but resisted the urge (for some strange reason...that's so out of character for me! ;O) Glad you had your priorities right, and have been shopping.
