It's a cloche party!!!

Woo hoo!!! It's a new blog party. This time it's a cloche party hosted by Marty at A Stroll Thru Life. Be sure to check out her cloche's and to see what all the other participants have to share. I can hardly wait.

I got so excited when I heard Marty was hosting this party. I love cloches & apothecary jars. Yes, Marty said we could show apothecary jars as well as our cloches. So get ready, here we go.

Now my original plans were to set up elaborate vignettes using my cloches & apothecary jars. But since I am the queen of procrastination, it didn't get done. In fact, I didn't even take my photos until after I got home from work. Then my battery went dead in my camera. So I had to borrow my son's camera. Such drama!!! But I still have a lot of photos for you. So you are getting to see how mine are currently without any special spiffying up.

I made collages of my photos or you would be here all day & I know you want to see everyone else's goodies. You can click on any of the photos to make them bigger so you can see the details better.

First we have the cloche that I usually keep on my dining table in my living room. These photos are of my June bride centerpiece. When I got married 3 years ago I bought numerous bride & groom figurines to use on my tables. This is the tallest one that I have. It fits perfect in this cloche. The cloche sits on a cake plate that I made using a china plate with roses & a crystal candlestick holder.
This collage is the same cloche but with different holiday arrangements. Bells for Christmas, Pilgrim couple for Thanksgiving and my cute little leprechauns for St Paddy's Day. This time a different cake plate was used underneath each time.
This apothecary jar sits in my eating area of my kitchen/family room. Here is a collage of the different ways I decorated it this past year. The upper left is how it is decorated currently with moss rocks. The bottom left was Easter with eggs, middle photo with Christmas jingle bells and far right was Valentine's Day with hearts & heart garland.
This next cloche sits on my kitchen island bar area on top of my 2 tiered lazy susan. The photo on the left has a silver creamer pitcher with faux African violets. The photo on the right is how it was decorated at Christmas with a cardboard house ornament that came from Mervyn's & some mini Christmas trees.

This collage is 3 different cloches that I currently have on display. All 3 house some cute little birdies. The 2 on the left are both in my living room. The far left is actually a cheese dome on top of a small pedestal bowl. The middle one came from Goodwill. It has a little birdy on the top. And the far right cloche is on my china hutch in my family room.
This collage is the same cheese dome cloche at different times on my china hutch. Harold & Maude my Target birdies called this home before they went on their whirlwind worldwide trip. Now it holds a tea cup & saucer.

Here is a collage of some holiday cloches. All but the bottom right are the same cloche at different holidays. The far left was Valentine's Day. The large middle was Easter, the top right was Halloween. The middle Easter cloche & the bottom right Easter cloche are actually 2 different ones. I bought them off ebay & the one with the lamb came with the cloche part broken. So I took it apart & used the base with the lamb & tree under the cloche I already had. The bottom right one is the actual cloche that came with them. That one the cloche didn't break, but the rabbits came unglued & arrived upside down. I had to carefully shake it until I got the rabbits right side up & sitting in the correct spot & not break the attached glass cloche (not an easy task).
This set of 3 apothecary jars sits on my white trunk in my family room. The photo on the left is how it currently looks. It currently holds green moss rocks, large bird eggs & small river rocks. The photo on the right was at Easter.

These are my 2 newest cloches. They are quite small. Both came from thrift stores. The one on the left is covering a small cherub (thrift store find) on a blue & white saucer. This is sitting on top of my vintage kitchen scale on top of our secretary desk in our kitchen. The cloche on the right sits on one of the shelves in the secretary. It too sits on a blue & white saucer & holds a small vintage metal compact & a salt cellar. It sits in front of an old crock.

We can't forget my bathroom. The small apothecary jar on the left holds my q-tips. I put a french perfume decal on the front. On the right is a glass vase holding some of my shells.

Well I hope that I didn't overload you with my cloche & apothecary jar photos. I hope that you will leave me a comment & let me know what you favorite one is. It is quite fun decorating with cloche's & apothecary jars. I'm not very creative with mine, but enjoy them anyways.
